Hello and happy March! As Spring (slowly) approaches we can finally start to see the light at the end of the ice cold Winter tunnel. The birds are chirping, the roaring sounds of snow removal trucks are muting, and our very own Rebl Jams are booming. Music makes the world go round, and we’re happy to part of its creation.
Montreal is home to quite a few musical legends, Leonard Cohen, Arcade Fire, and of course, Simple Plan. We’re a city that knows how to love and appreciate the arts, music especially. Our summer is filled with weeks of Jazz fest and the sheer anticipation for Osheaga, and we’re more than happy to do our part in contributing to what Montreal has to offer.
As a group of people who applaud artists of all forms, we want to encourage and garner a place for open collaboration. In short, REBL Jams is our way of giving a platform for musicians to create music to the best of their ability. We’ve had the opportunity to welcome some incredible artists to our studio, examples being Clerel and Claire Ridgley, just to name a few. Each musician bringing their own unique sound and oomph. Coincidentally enough, as I sit here writing about Rebl Jams, I’m lucky enough to be able to sit here and watch jam being made for myself. On this fine afternoon, the beautifully talented Ruwby Tashjan came in for a nice recording session. The best part of the job is working with other creators, having the opportunity to sit down with them, learn more about who they are, and how we can make something together that will be able to reach people.
Instead of reading about what we can do, head over and listen to it for yourself. And remember, if you, or anyone you know, has a voice that’s meant to be heard, by all means reach out to us, because we would love to hear it.
